Knee Deep in Round Robins

I spent the weekend catching up on my Round Robins. I'm in 5 groups this year.. wow!

This Fabric came to me.. had already had 2 layers of dye added to it.. so I used Jacquards Discharge Paste.. lightly painted the paste onto a rubbing plate that was in a leaf print.. It turned out very light.. I guess I needed to water down the past more to soak into the fabric. but it was my first attempt.

This Beautiful Turquoise Blue pattern was sent to me. I discharged again with this watering down the discharged, but this time I got it too thin as you cant see the circles that I discharged but rather more of the lavendar color is more Organic looking to me. not sure how I'm liking the discharge paste.. maybe Id like it more if I silk screened with it next time?

Oh My BJ sent this wonderful fabric that was in stripes of yellows to deep brown oranges. Being in the mood of my favorite dye color lately I tightly twisted the fabric. wrapped it around a pvc tube and poured the Hot Chocoloate color over it. I love the mirror image this has created on the fabric.

Another turquoise fabric sent to me. I triangle flag folded this fabric and dipped the edges in the Hot Chocolate Dye again... Creates a great contrast the brown turned more of this wonderful mossy green color.

Here is the closeup of that leave print I did on the discharge. Any tips on using the product please let me know.

This lovely fabric was sent to me.. I added the 3rd layer to it. It was first shibori dyed with then the leaf prints were painted on using fabric paint. I then wanted to create a simple lattice pattern to the fabric but not all over so I could use the shibori pattern.. but I did it in the Negative space instead of the Positive.. or I have that reversed LOL I used wedgewood blue.. Its very light.. I like using the thickened dye but did notice it did not keep the intensitiy of the color as it was applied.. I should have let it batch longer and probably have rolled it in plastic to keep it damp so it would have shown up more... First time for everything.
