Off to Sunny Florida

Well here I sit in the Indianapolis Airport terminal awaiting for my flight to Sarasota Florida. I'm off to visit my Mom. Her Husband is heading off to CT for the weekend to spend with his family so figured I'd fly down and see my mom. I'm sure we will be hitting all the quilting and or fiber stores that I can find over the next few days. I've got my digital camera with me so Ill be taking lots and lots of pictures to use as inspiration in my C&G course. Be back Saturday night so Sunday will be time to finish the project that Marion has me working on for Lutradur. Talk to you all soon.

Hi all. Well I made it back from the Chicago Quilt Show. Wow was I impressed. It was great seeing all the great artists that I had talked too over the last year. Virginia Spiegel, Patricia Bolton, Terri Kirchner, Laura Wasiloski. What a great group of people to talk too and meet. As far as breaking the billfold, well didn't buy much.. I know so sad huh? Bought some rubbing plates, a stamp, and discharge paste...nothing else.. I know dissapointing. I'm so amazed at the number of sewing machine manufacturers and all the items that people are looking for. I'm keeping my eye out for a new long arm machine but not the really big ones.

I have to say I was impressed by the number of MEN that had quilts in the show... Kudo's to all of you! I look at my own work and think wow, I'm just not there. I guess I look at the quaility of the sewing and quilting and that is not my strength.
